Psst. Did you hear? Property Crowdfunding was mentioned on the 2019 National Budget. Here’s your opportunity to get in-depth knowledge about it.
Property investors, get prepared for an exciting time ahead!
Malaysia’s 2019 Budget highlights Property Crowdfunding as the solution to build one million affordable houses in the next 10 years. This scheme allows first-time property buyers to own a house by paying only a fraction of its cost. The rest will be borne by investors through a peer-to-peer financing network, at a 20:80 split. To top this off, the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) is soon expected to also invest in private property crowdfunding platforms, while allowing its members to withdraw their savings and invest in such peer-to-peer purchases.
